Davisafe Doors

SPECIFICATIONS OF DAVISAFE DOORS AND FRAMES

(A) DOORS

Construction Design: Seamless press moulded design construction.

Materials:

Door panels – Thermosetting Polyester resin and satin textured polyester gel coat.
Reinforcements – Designed Formulated combination of chopped stand mat and 3 layered glass fibre mats.
Structure – Stile and sub rail frame of seasoned wood.
Core – Honeycomb hard board and/or Medium density Poly Urethane foam.
Colorants: UV stabilized high gloss pigments.

Process:

Polyester resin applied with the formulated combination of Chopped strand Glass fibre mat and 3 layered, oriented glass fibre mats to give multi directional reinforcement. The outer faces of the door undergo an application of an “in-mold” tough satin textured coloured gel coat. Finally, the two faces are simultaneously fused with all the edges of the door under pressure until completely cured – not only to the sub frame but to the entire Board Honeycomb. Molding pressure and resin gel time is calculated and adjusted to allow for penetration of resin into the cellular structure of the core.

Dimensions:

Thickness: Normal standards –- 30mm (± 2mm)  OR as per clients requirements.
Length and width: Normal standards – Width = 0.65 mts to 0.85 mts; Height = 1.8mts to 2.15 mts OR,  As per clients requirement.
Laminates: 2.0 mm thick total including gel coat.

Hardware :

Hardware should be fitted on the specified locations of the door using standard stainless steel wood screws. Number of Hinges will vary from 3 nos of 4” for smaller doors and 4 nos of 5” for bigger doors. All surface hardware can be screwed or thru bolted. Any specific hardware requirement will be considered on request subject to the design feasibility of the door specifications.

 (B) DOOR FRAMES

Construction Design: Seamless press moulded design construction.

Materials:
Frame panels – Thermosetting Polyester resin and satin textured polyester gel coat.
Reinforcements – Designed Formulated combination of chopped stand mat and 3 layered glass fibre mats.
Structure – Full frame of seasoned wood.
Core – Medium density Poly Urethane foam.
Colorants: UV stabilized high gloss pigments.

Process:

Polyester resin applied with the formulated combination of Chopped strand Glass fibre mat and 3 layered, oriented glass fibre mats to give multi directional reinforcement. The outer faces of the frame undergo an application of an “in-mold” tough satin textured coloured gel coat. Finally, the complete frame structure is fused with all the edges on the internal wood frame and Polyurethane reinforcements of the frame under pressure until completely cured. Molding pressure and resin gel time is calculated and adjusted to allow for penetration of resin into the structure of the frame.

Dimensions:

Thickness: Normal standards –- Cross section –- 100mm x 55mm – Hole pass fitment –- 45mm x 40mm – Screw fitment
Length and width: Normal standards – Width = 0.75mts to 0.95 mts Height = 1.8mts to 2.15 mts
Laminates: 2.0 mm thick total including gel coat.

Hardware:

Hardware should be fitted on the specified locations of the frame.
Hold pass type – Hold pass of 5” should be fitted using stainless steel 1” screws.
Direct screw type – 4” stainless steel screws to be used.
Any specific hardware requirement will be considered on request subject to the design feasibility of the door specifications.
